FBS is a blood test ordered by physicians in order to measure the amount of glucose in blood

FBS TEST

This test is done in order to measure the amount of glucose in blood. FBS is primarily ordered by doctors to look for prediabetes, diabetes or gestational diabetes.

It is of high importance not to eat or drink anything at least for 8 hours before the test.

 

Diagnosis:

A normal level (for a random blood glucose test) is usually under 125 milligram per deciliter (mg/dL), however, in fasting blood glucose test, a normal level is between 70 to 100 mg/dL
